Educational Advocacy

As a retired school psychologist and teacher, I currently

work with parents of children ages 3-17 as an educational advocate within all academic settings. I am a licensed psychoeducational specialist (LPES) and a non-attorney

member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA). I have advanced degrees in School Psychology and Curriculum/Instruction with experience at all levels of schooling, from preschool through adult education.

Open a Book- Open the World

In 2025, the website Open a Book- Open the World! was launched to assist parents and teachers in selecting quality

literature for their children, Openabook.net is a resource

of more than 400 children's books recommended by age

and reading level. Activities for monthly highlighted

books are provided for home and classroom use.

Author

As a wife, mother, and Mimi to four amazing grandchildren,

I have a heart for families, schools, churches, and our nation.

I have written two children's devotionals, a Gospel narrative,

and my newest book, Standing for God in America, addresses issues affecting our country. My mission is to introduce Christ

to others and encourage believers through my writing.
